Caltrans District 4 is developing the Bay Bridge Sea Level Rise Adaptation Planning Study, focused on the East Bay side of the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. As sea levels rise and storms become more intense, access to the bridge, surrounding roadways, shoreline communities, and recreational destinations could be increasingly affected. Community input will help shape a resilient future for the Bay Bridge corridor and East Bay shoreline. We invite residents, commuters, cyclists, pedestrians, recreational users, community organizations, and all interested stakeholders to participate in upcoming engagement opportunities.
