Indoor Facility Rentals
Emeryville features several indoor facilities that are available for private rentals. These facilities are commonly used and enjoyed for family parties, fundraisers, children’s birthday parties, board meetings, wedding receptions, or memorial services. The specific facilities available are:

Step by Step Rental Instructions
Facility rentals require a permit issued by the City of Emeryville Community Services Department. This includes all organized sports, clubs, and/or teams who are interested in using the facilities. Please complete the requirements listed below at least 2 weeks prior to the date of your event:

- Once the application is reviewed the applicant will be contacted as soon as possible.
- If the application is approved or approved with conditions, all the associated fees must be paid and conditions met prior to the rental date.
Proof of Residency:
After confirming that your home address is listed on the Street Address Range Chart(PDF, 88KB), please email rentals@emeryville.org with one of the following documents showing your name and current address:
Acceptable forms of documentation include:
- A valid government-issued photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) showing your current address
- A recent utility bill (e.g., electricity, water, gas) dated within the last 60 days
- A rental or lease agreement
- A mortgage statement or property tax bill
All documents must clearly show your name and qualifying Emeryville address. Digital copies (PDF or clear photos) are acceptable.
Mandatory Conditions of Approval:
- Compliance with Emeryville Green Ordinances: Recycling / Eco Food-Ware Flyer(PDF, 2MB)
- All rentals must provide a $1,000,000 Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the “City of Emeryville, its officials, employees, agents and authorized volunteers”, 1333 Park Avenue, Emeryville CA 94608 as additional insured. ECCL Rentals also require that the Emery Unified School District also be listed as additionally insured. Both the certificate AND endorsement page will be needed. Event Liability Insurance is offered through HUB International for those renters unable/unwilling to obtain their own Certificate of Insurance: Visit www.eventinsure.com to get an online quote from HUB International.
Other Possible Conditions of Approval:
- Alcohol at an event requires approval and a license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC). This process can take a minimum of 60 days. The applicant is responsible for making sure that alcohol use and consumption is limited to the date, hours and location(s) approved. The Emeryville Police Department has the right to stop any alcohol sales or use not in compliance.
- The selling of alcohol requires a California State License. Visit the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control website at http://www.abc.ca.gov/Forms/PDFSpc.html for information and permit applications for serving alcoholic beverages at event. You will need to provide the number of the Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) License minimum 5 days before your rental.
- Note that events open to the public and/or featuring live entertainment may be required to obtain an Emeryville one-day Cabaret Permit(PDF, 236KB). Contact the Rental Specialist for more information or details.
- Security Guards are required for indoor rentals of over 100 people and/or indoor rentals where alcohol is served for more than 4 hours.
