Voter Registration

Voters qualify for registration by being a U.S. citizen, age 18 years or older on Election day, a resident of California, not in state or federal prison or on parole for a felony conviction, and not currently found to be mentally incompetent to vote by a court.

Re-registration is required if you have moved since you last registered, changed your name, or changed your political party affiliation.

The registration deadline is 15 days before an election. You may register to vote online at the Alameda County Registrar of Voters Office. For more information contact the Alameda County Registrar of Voters at 510-272-6933.
