Published on August 31, 2026
The Rotten City Cultural District (RCCD) is pleased to present On the Preciousness of Water, an exhibition curated by incoming Artist-in-Residence and accomplished fine artist Archana Horsting.
Archana has assembled a group of 16 artists whose works reflect the range of artistic responses to water's role in daily life, the environment, memory, and place. These incredible artists are Gale Antokal, Eva Bovenzi, Scott Donahue, Beth Fein, Therese Lahaie, Gary Nakamoto, Yuzo Nakano, Jeannie O’Connor, Jos Sances, Foad Satterfield, Marnika Shelton, Jessica Snow, Seiko Tachibana, Sandy Walker, Kazuko Watanabe, and Donna Westerman.
On the Preciousness of Water brings a contemporary fine art gallery experience to Bay Street, inviting visitors to engage with exceptional artwork while reflecting on one of our planet's most essential and increasingly vulnerable resources.
The exhibition will open with a public reception on Thursday, September 10 at 6:00 p.m. Additional public programs include an opening reception, artist panel discussion, a watercolor workshop by Francesca Pastine, and a closing party. Open to the public, free of charge. Please see the digital postcard for more details.
