Celeste Burrows, interpretive tour leader for over 35 years, will meet 15 people at the Emeryville Senior Center (consider parking in a public lot on San Pablo Avenue and walking over) for a walking tour featuring the Emeryville Senior Center Public Art Collection and a show of works by the Center’s art classes. An optional extension visits 15 additional works along a 1-mile outdoor extension between 45th Street and 40th Street.
The Senior Center offers sculpture, mosaic, fabric arts and more – reflecting the vibrant community and the diversity of artists throughout Emeryville. With works installed from the Bus Shelter Program, Community Promotion Grants, Visual Art grants and Purchase Award, the site offers a great overview of the program the City uses to support the arts and beautify its facilities."
