As you travel along the newly paved Hollis Street corridor, please be aware of the new lane configurations and important intersection markings. Due to weather-related delays with the permanent striping, the City has installed temporary lane markers, signage, and "KEEP CLEAR" markings at intersections. To ensure safety and proper turning paths, drivers are reminded to stop their vehicles behind the white limit line before the crosswalk, ensuring no part of their vehicle is within the "KEEP CLEAR" area. Your attention to these new markings is crucial for keeping traffic flowing safely for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
The night paving on Hollis Street was successfully completed before the Thanksgiving holiday, and we thank the community for its patience. However, recent and forecasted wet weather has postponed the final work, including the permanent roadway striping and the installation of five new concrete bus pads, until a clear weather window opens in January 2026. Crews are currently working on adjusting utility covers to match the new pavement. We appreciate your continued cooperation as we work to complete the final phase of this project.
