Paving crews are scheduled to complete the final phase of major work on Hollis Street tonight, Tuesday, November 25th, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Work will focus on the northern section of Hollis Street from the Grocery Outlet driveway to Powell Street and the adjacent side streets. Please expect continued night noise, detours, roadway and lane closures (including the Powell Street bridge), and parking restrictions.
While crews are working to finish tonight, unforeseen ground conditions discovered last week have required extra time. If similar conditions are found tonight, paving operations may need to be extended into next week, on the nights of Monday, December 1st, and Tuesday, December 2nd.
Following the completion of all asphalt paving, the next phase of work will be the installation of five new concrete bus pads between December 1st and December 19th. This will require lane shifts, and we will provide further updates as that work is scheduled.
This schedule is contingent on cooperative weather. Thank you for your continued patience and cooperation! Questions? Contact Phillip Toste at phillip.toste@emeryville.org or 510-596-4340.
