Any individual, partnership, corporation, or sole proprietor who wishes to conduct, either directly or indirectly, in any business within the City of Emeryville, including the rental of housing units, must secure a business license certificate.
An annual Business License will expire on December 31st of each year. Annual renewal and payment are due by January 1st of each year. A renewal received after March 1st will be considered delinquent and is subject to penalties and interest.
Courtesy renewal notices have been and are continuously emailed to businesses. Additionally, renewal notices were mailed to businesses in December.
Avoid penalty and interest fees by renewing your business license by March 1st.
