In the face of a 4-year, $200 million shortfall, the AC Transit Board of Directors will meet on June 10, 2026, at 5 p.m., to review a proposed “Contingency Service Plan” for possible service reductions. They will also open a public process for community feedback.

If no new funding is secured, these cuts of as much as 16% of AC Transit service would begin taking effect in June 2027.

An Open House will be held immediately prior to the June 10 meeting, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the AC Transit lobby, located at 1600 Franklin Street in Oakland.  Staff will be available to answer questions. The public is encouraged to provide feedback at the Open House, as public comment during the Board meeting, or via email at planning@actransit.org
