Program for Seismic Retrofit for Wood-Framed Dwellings
The program encourages owners of one- and two-family, wood-framed residential structures to seismically upgrade their properties.

The Minor Home Repair Grant Program provides grants up to $1,000 for minor repairs to remedy unsafe living conditions.

Accessibility Program

The Accessibility Program provides grants and loans for units occupied (or to be occupied) by low-to-moderate income disabled persons or seniors with impaired mobility.

Rental Rehabilitation Loan Program

Rehabilitation loans up to $25,000 per unit are available to rental property owners at below market rate interest rates (0-7%) to eliminate substandard housing conditions.

Concrete Buyback Grant

The Concrete Buyback Grants will provide a one-time grant up to $9,000 for property owners who wish to convert barren or paved front yards into landscaped areas.

Wrought Iron Fence Grant

The Wrought Iron Fence Grant will provide a one-time grant up to $6,000 for property owners who wish to remove any existing, non-conforming fence from the front of the setback area.

Multi-Family Housing Facade Improvement Program

Provides funding in the form of a loan and grant for exterior improvements to multi-family "box-style" complexes. Box-style is defined as 1950-1970 area complexes of 8 units or less.

Vehicle Abatement

If you have an abandoned car in your neighborhood, which has been sitting over 72 hours, you may schedule an appointment to speak with a traffic officer.

Code Enforcement Program

The program focuses on enforcing ordinances and laws that require abatement to properties that are dangerous to the public or are a public nuisance.

Chaplain Program
The Emeryville Fire Department has a chaplain program. The Fire Chaplain serves the Department by giving aid, comfort, and help to citizens or Emeryville and members of the Fire Department who are victims of emergencies.

Emergency Medical Services
The Emeryville Fire Department is a member of the Alameda County, providing paramedic-level emergency medical services.

This line serves as an anonymous tip line for suspected drug activity, and criminal activity. This line is checked daily by the detective division. This line is NOT to be used for crimes in progress or 911 calls.

Fingerprinting

This service is available on Thursdays for resident needing fingerprints for certifications or classes or employment purposes. This service is also available for non-residents for a fee.

Youth Diversion Program

The Program's intent is to deter first time offenders from committing other offenses, and divert them from the Juvenile Justice System. The Program is designed to have the juvenile offender, "pay back" the community for the public resources used, and additionally for the merchant's time and trouble.

Infant and Toddler Program
A warm, loving, nurturing atmosphere provides infants with a secure feeling to develop a sense of trust, to develop autonomy, to encourage curiosity and motivate learning.

Preschooler Program
Providing opportunities that will allow children to develop independently and creatively to their optimum level.

Adventure Works Extended Care
Before and after school care for Kindergarten through third grade students.

Emery Adventure Works (a unique urban day camp)
Emery Adventure Works is specifically designed for the creative and active needs of children between the ages of 5-1/2 and 12 years old.

Emery Connection Teen Center
One of the few evening programs in the East Bay, Emery Connection serves teens in grades 8 through 12.

Kids In Motion Latchkey Program
After school care for third through fifth grade students.

Youth Sports
Participation in league play.

Special Interest Classes for Kids
Special interest classes are offered on a quarterly basis all year, typically on a eight week schedule. Youth classes are offered Saturdays.

Special Interest Classes for Adults
Special interest classes are offered on a quarterly basis all year, typically on a eight week schedule. Adult classes are offered on week nights.

Adult Sports
School year adult sports is limited to basketball at this time.

Health Services
Nutritious hot meals, Meals-On-Wheels, physical fitness, outpatient clinic, podiatry, massage, T'ai Chi Movement, in-home care, blood pressure check-ups, health information, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and public safety information.

Financial Services
Tax assistance, Social Security counseling, health insurance counseling (HICAP), energy assistance, low-income fishing licenses, legal referrals, Durable Power of Attorney forms, property tax postponement applications, mature drivers classes, and entertainment discounts.

Transportation
Subsidized taxi rides, Senior Citizen Bart tickets, shared-ride shopping, and assistance with applications for East Bay Paratransit.

Activities
Bingo, dancing, ballroom dance classes, art class, quilting class, bus trips, group outings, dinner-theatre, picnics, birthday parties, seasonal and holiday parties, movies, pool table, bridge, and deep sea fishing.

Information, referral and assistance
Financial services, transportation, in-home care, handyman work, respite care, adult day care, housing, education, employment, health service, legal matters, and forms and documents.

Designed to help seniors live independently.

Bike Locker Program
The Bike Locker Program is administered by the department of Public Works.

First-Time Homebuyers
The Emeryville Redevelopment Agency's First-Time Homebuyers program has provides downpayment assistance to low to moderate income, first-time homebuyers purchasing homes in Emeryville.

Affordable Housing Set-Aside Program
Program that establishes below-market-rate units, available to low and moderate-income households.

Housing Rehabilitation
The City's full-service housing rehabilitation program allows property owners to improve their property values at little or no cost to the owner.
