Installation of Construction Trailers


Construction Trailer Permit

Although the State of California is responsible for the inspection of all manufactured buildings, local jurisdictions regulate the anchor systems or foundations for manufactured buildings located in that jurisdiction.

For a permit to install a construction trailer within the City of Emeryville please submit the following information:

  • Plans Showing The surface (concrete or asphalt) receiving the trailer anchors.
    The thickness of the concrete or asphalt.
    The total weight and size of the construction trailer.
  • Plot Plan Showing:

    The property dimensions including distance from property lines to trailer.
    North arrow.
    Scale (min. 1" =20'), All adjacent streets, fences and walls.
  • Show Anchors Including:
    The type, number and locations of the anchors.
    The minimum embedment of the anchors

  • Calculations Provide engineering calculations, plans, details, NER reports, etc.. for the proposed anchors.

    The anchor straps SHALL be installed (used) at a 45 degree angle from the horizontal.

ALL anchors and anchor straps SHALL be pull tested in the field, in the same 45 degrees angle from the horizontal required above, for the calculated forces.
