NOTICE OF SCHEDULED VACANCIES ON THE EMERYVILLE BICYCLE/PEDESTRIAN
ADVISORY SUBCOMMITTEE OF THE TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that eight (8) scheduled vacancies have occurred on
the Emeryville Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Subcommittee. Six (6) of those vacancies
are for people who work or live in Emeryville and the other two (2) vacancies
are for members from bicycle organizations. The City is accepting applications
from interested individuals to serve in the eight (8) positions for a one year
term starting 1/1/04 through 12/31/04. Applications are due by December 31st,
2003.
The Emeryville Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Subcommittee is a thirteen-member
standing advisory subcommittee of the Transportation Committee to the City Council
comprised of: 2 Council members, 2 members representing Bicycle Organizations,
6 members who are bicyclists and either live or work in Emeryville, 1 Police
Department employee, 1 Planning Department employee and 1 Public Works employee.
The members of the Emeryville Bicycle/Pedestrian Subcommittee review bicycle
and pedestrian policies and provide advice to the full City Council. The Committee
meets quarterly at City Hall, usually on the third Wednesday, in the evening
at 5:30 p.m. Members are appointed by the City Council and serve one year terms.
The Emeryville City Council encourages interested residents and business persons
in Emeryville to apply for appointment to the Bicycle/Pedestrian Subcommittee.

Completed applications should be mailed or delivered to the City Clerk, at
the above address.
