The City Clerk is the official recordkeeper of the City Council and Redevelopment
Agency legislative actions/documents and official records.
The City Clerk is responsible for preparation of agendas for City Council and
Redevelopment Agency meetings; attendance at City Council/Agency meetings and
recording minutes of the proceedings; compliance with legal noticing requirements;
conduct of City elections as elections official; administration of Fair Political
Practices Committees campaign disclosure and conflict of interest reporting,
recordkeeping and statutory obligations as filing officer/official; maintenance
of the Emeryville Municipal Code; administration of Emeryville's local government
access cable television station (ETV Channel 27) broadcasting (provides information
on City programs and services); provision of information and/or records to the
public as custodian of records; management of citywide records management program;
and provision of secretarial support for the City Council.
The City Clerk is appointed by the City Manager with confirmation of the City
Council.
